Shakira brought Barbie pink to the 2025 Met Gala.
The Colombian singer took a quick break from her ongoing Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran Tour to casually take a stroll down the fashion world’s most important red carpet tonight.
Shakira’s ensemble was composed of a body-hugging powder-pink gown and massive, crisp, shiny cape that flowed into a train behind her. It was custom-made by Prabal Gurung, and the designer even walked the carpet alongside Shakira.
The dress had sleek side cutouts in an hourglass silhouette that gave a peek at the “Monotonía” singer’s skin, while the cape was attached to her via pink wrist bands layered atop her transparent black polka-dot gloves.
Shakira added to the romance of the head-toe-pink look with a gleaming white-diamond necklace featuring a single pink teardrop diamond at the center. her signature lioness hair was down in wild, voluminous waves.
The pink look had a similar silhouette to the one Shakira wore to the Met Gala last year. It was a bright red gown with cutouts, dramatic bulbous sleeves that looked like giant red roses, and yes, a matching cape, from Carolina Herrera.
The artist is currently in New York City not only for the Met ball, but also for a string of performances. She is set to perform at concerts in New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium on Thursday, May 15 and Friday, May 16.
