No one does a pregnancy announcement quite like Rihanna.
Just as the Met Gala 2025 red carpet was kicking off, the Grammy-winner, 37, was spotted in New York City wearing a two-piece look that subtly showed that she and longtime partner A$AP Rocky were expecting their third child together.
But if that pregnancy reveal seemed a little low-key given her two prior baby announcements, fans just had to wait a few hours for her to hit the steps of the Met Monday night, wearing a Marc Jacobs three-piece suit with a custom Marc Jacobs x Stephen Jones hat to top it off. Though she and Rocky are Met Gala regulars, this year, she hit the carpet solo as Rocky was already inside fulfilling his duties as one of the night’s co-chairs.
On his way into the event, Rocky told reporters of the reveal (according to the Associated Press) “It feels amazing, you know. It’s time that we show the people what we was cooking up.”

The exciting announcement comes a little over than two years after another epic baby reveal during her pregnancy with son Riot. When the super star took the stage to perform the Super Bowl 2023 Halftime Show, audiences noticed that under her red jumpsuit was a baby bump — which she showcased pointedly during her set. The move marked the first time a pregnant woman performed during the halftime show; icon behavior.

And back in 2022, when she and Rocky were expecting their first child RZA Athelston, the couple shared the news with a series of photos taken in Harlem, New York. (Photographer Miles Diggs captured a number of sweet snaps in what may be one of the cooler maternity outfits of all time, a pink puffer worn over a bare bump and tons of vintage Christian Lacroix chains.)
Before dropping the big news on Met Monday, Rihanna had dropped hints that she wasn’t totally done growing her family.

While chatting with Interview Magazine in April 2024, the singer said she wanted to have “as many [kids] as God wants me to have.” When asked if she wanted more than two, she said, “I don’t know what God wants, but I would go for more than two.”
“I would try for my girl. But of course if it’s another boy, it’s another boy,” she added.

Rihanna recently gave a glimpse into her life as a boy mom and shared a little about each of her son’s personalities.
“RZA is just an empath,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in February. “He’s so magical. He loves music. He loves melody. He loves books. He loves water. Bath time, swimming, pool, beach, anything.”
Riot, on the other hand, is “just hilarious,” she said and seems to be following in his famous parents’ footsteps by wanting to “sing.”
“When he wakes up, he starts to squeal, scream. Not in a crying way. He just wants to sing,” she explained. “And I’m like, ‘Okay, here we go!’ He’s my alarm in the morning! He’s not taking no for an answer from anyone.”
