Aaron Rodgers is sparking marriage rumors following a public outing this week.

On Friday, May 2, the NFL quarterback, 41, attended the 2025 Barnstable Brown Gala in Louisville, Ky., ahead of the Kentucky Derby, where he was spotted sporting a dark-colored band on his ring finger.

Social media sleuths noticed the jewelry piece and speculated about his current relationship status in various posts shared on X.

“Is that a wedding ring on Aaron Rodgers’ finger? If it is, that’s awesome and wish him and his wife nothing but the best,” one user wrote, as another said, “Looks like AR is officially a married man??? Peep the ring on his left ring finger.”

A representative for Rodgers did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Rodgers revealed that he is dating a woman named Brittani while appearing on an episode of The Pat McAfee Show in December 2024. He explained that Brittani prefers to remain out of the spotlight and she doesn’t have social media.

The athlete appeared on the show again last month, when he shared that the relationship was “serious.”

“I’m in a different phase of my life,” he explained. “I’m 41 years old. I’m in a serious relationship. I have off-the-field stuff going on that requires my attention.”

Rodgers has had several high-profile relationships in the past. He was previously engaged to Shailene Woodley — though the pair split in 2022. He also dated Olivia Munn and retired NASCAR driver Danica Patrick in the past.

However, Rodgers, who has expressed in the past that he prefers to keep his romantic life private, said he “didn’t do himself any favors” by choosing to date fellow celebrities.

“I definitely hated it at first — like, really despised it,” he said of the public scrutiny surrounding his romantic life while being interviewed for his 2024 Netflix docuseries, Aaron Rodgers: Enigma.

“I enjoyed my private life,” he added.
