Dolly Parton recently posted an old video of herself singing her song “Dumb Blonde” to her social accounts. In the video, she’s wearing a fire-engine-red dresswith a sparkling maroon broach, her signature blonde hair up in a beehive style, and a red lip to match. Some fans pointed out how much the singer looks like the late Marilyn Monroe.
“Don’t try to cry, your way outta this/Don’t try to lie, or I’ll catch you in it/ Don’t try to make me, feel sorry for you/ Just because I’m blonde don’t think I’m dumb/ ‘Cause this dumb blonde ain’t nobody’s fool,” Dolly sings right into the camera, tapping along to the beat against her thigh.

People can’t get over the “Jolene” singer’s striking resemblance to Marilyn Monroe in the video. One person posted a gif of Marilyn in a red dress of her own and, it’s true, the two look like they could be sisters. “She kind of looks like her! Lol,” one person agreed. “She looks like Marilyn Monroe here! Gorgeous as ever,” another commenter wrote.

The Instagram video, of course, has all of the usual Dolly-Parton-fan comments underneath it as well: “I love you Dolly, you’re a national treasure!” and “Dolly you are beyond amazing! 🤗 Thank you for all you do! And you’re definitely one smart woman!”
