Ms. Rachel is sharing the sweet reason why she named her daughter Susannah.
In an interview with Today, the YouTuber, whose real name is Rachel Griffin Accurso, shared an update on her baby daughter Susannah after sharing with the world earlier this month that she’d quietly welcomed a second baby.
“I’m sure this isn’t a surprise but Thomas, Aron and I are all constantly writing and performing songs for her,” Accurso says of her husband, Aron Accurso, and their 7-year-old son Thomas.
“She’s named after my incredible mama! My mom raised us with so much unconditional love and joy,” Accurso continued. “She raised my sister and I as a single mom. I’ve always been in awe of her strength. She even built us an epic tree house all herself!”

Earlier this month, Accurso shared that she’d quietly welcomed a second baby, a daughter named Susannah, revealing the exciting news on Instagram. Sharing a photo of herself cuddling her baby girl on the couch, the newly minted mom of two took a minute to reflect on their journey to becoming a family of four.
“We welcomed sweet baby Susannah into the world! 💕 We are so in love!” Accurso wrote. “Sometimes timing isn’t what you plan and the road to get there is bumpier than you expect, but when you hold your little ones you know… I’m meant to be your mama.”
“I was unable to carry this pregnancy for medical reasons and we were blessed to have a surrogate who gave us the most precious gift possible,” Accurso continued. “We are now all family forever. We have immense gratitude and a deep bond. It’s been a truly beautiful experience. I’m in awe of her.”
“Aron – Thank you for being the best husband and dada!” she added.
Later this month, Accurso posted a photo on Instagram, posing with her daughter Susannah in her trademark attire — denim overalls on top of a bright pink shirt paired with a light pink headband.
The little one perfectly matched her mom’s getup, wearing her version of the casual, yet highly recognizable look.
In the caption, Accurso quoted one of her most famous lines from her learning-to-speak videos for babies, writing, “CAN YOU SAY MAMA? 💕.”
