On Monday night, Team Legend – Ari Camiile,BD.ii, Bryson Battle, Olivia Kuper Harris and RENZO– will take the stage, and Parade has a sneak peek at RENZO’s rendition of Hozier‘s “Too Sweet” that amazes the coaches.
“My favorite part of that performance was the last 4 seconds,” Adam told him. “What I mean by that is I want more screamery. You have the best screaming voice in this competition. I feel that we haven’t heard enough of that from you, but man, you know I love you.”
Back during the Blind Auditions, Adam had tried to get the 33-year-old from Philadelphia on his team, but John used his Block on him.
“Let’s go a year from now,” Kelsea tells RENZO. “You’ve put out a record. I bought it. You put out a T-shirt. I bought that, too. Koozie? Mine. Bought it.”
Adam interrupts, “How can you buy it if it doesn’t exist yet?
Kelsea patiently explains, “I said a year from now.”
Michael jumps in, “This is future her, Adam. Do I still have hair?”
John says, “We’ll talk about that later.”

Kelsea continues, “I am such a fan of you, and all those things will happen. You lean more into the R&B/rock combination, and the flow of the two is so interesting to me, I want to see more of it. There’s no way you’re not part of this longer, is there?”
“We have to maintain some suspense on this show, so stay tuned,” John says. Then he continues, “It already feels like you’re a star, making those records, doing all that amazing merch that Kelsea is going to buy. If we are going to go forward together, we want to make sure we pick songs that take advantage of that raw side of your voice that makes people feel the energy, the urgency. I’m still very glad that I blocked Adam for you.”
So, will RENZO make the live shows and America’s vote?
