Florence Pugh came in like a fashion storm yesterday afternoon as she promoted her new Marvel film, Thunderbolts, with a string of appearances in New York City.
As the Academy Award-nominated star visited a few talk shows and walked down a red carpet, she stuck to a black-and-white color scheme (something we’ve seen a lot of recently), showing off her versatility with the help of stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray, who dressed the actor in five different designer looks.
To begin the day, Pugh visited Good Morning America, where she wore a white vintage skirt suit from the Thierry Mugler Spring 1991 collection.
The set was given a bit of a futuristic touch thanks to silver metal brackets that outlined the lapels of the coat, as well as the bottom skirt hem. These accoutrements resembled lighting bolts, which surely had to have been a nod to the title of her new film, and she matched these details by wearing metallic silver pumps from Paris Texas, while slipping on some Khaite x Oliver Peoples silver sunglasses, too.
Then, Pugh brought a bit of a darker edge while stopping by Live With Kelly and Mark, where she changed into an Altuzarra Poly maxi dress in black. The strapless, long-sleeve design featured a tiered skirt and scalloped hems, and it was composed of a glistening viscose fabric that was like the inverse color of a spider’s silky webbing.
Keeping us on our toes, the Little Women star brought back some milky hues with her third ensemble, which consisted of a white top and matching bubble skirt, paired with creamy-colored Jimmy Choo sunglasses in a cat-eye silhouette.
Finally, Pugh ended the day with a stark one-two punch, proving that when it comes to style, she’s a total rockstar.
First, she stepped out in a mirror-disc minidress that featured a jutting, heart-shaped neckline, like something straight out of Betty Boop’s closet—and she paired the look with towering black platform Kiki boots from Marc Jacobs. She was seen sporting the fit while heading to the Late Night With Seth Meyers set.
Then, Pugh finished her parade of fashion by slipping into a custom black leather halter dress from Loewe, which featured strappy cutouts on the side and a large slit up one leg. She paired the piece with inky Louboutin pumps and a clutch from The Attico as she walked the red carpet at a screening of Thunderbolts hosted by Walt Disney Studios and the Cinema Society.
They say nothing is ever black and white, but Pugh just proved us oh so wrong.
