The expansive worlds of Star Wars and Monopoly have collided in the latest “Monopoly Go!” event.

In a collaboration led by Scopely, the popular mobile game “Monopoly Go!” has crossed over with “Star Wars” for a two-month adventure, spanning the stories of both “The Mandalorian” and “The Skywalker Saga” on the “Monopoly Go!” mobile game. The in-game event begins Thursday.

“In bringing ‘Star Wars’ into ‘Monopoly Go!,’ the talented game making team at Scopely set out to create a collaboration that is visually stunning, rich in storytelling, and filled with thrilling gameplay that captures the essence of both franchises,” Scopely’s president of games Victor Diaz-Roig said in a statement. “From iconic characters and eras to the themes that have made ‘Star Wars’ a cultural touchstone, we worked to craft an experience that feels original and unexpected — while staying true to the creativity and artistry of ‘Monopoly Go!’”

The journey kicks off in the mobile game when robot Peg-E from “Monopoly Go!” visits Mr. Monopoly’s private theater and begins daydreaming. As the world of “Monopoly” gets reimagined, Star Wars fans can visit iconic Outer Rim plants like Tatooine and collect themed tokens and shields.

In recent years, “Monopoly Go!” has crossed over with the Marvel universe, including Spider-Man, Wolverine, Deadpool and the Avengers, along with a global brand campaign back in November with Will Ferrell, Jason Momoa, Keke Palmer and Chris Pratt. Since releasing in April 2023, “Monopoly Go!” rose the charts and became the most successful mobile game launch in history after recently surpassing $5 billion in revenue.
