Prince William and Kate took a boat trip between Scottish islands today as they enjoy a two-day visit to the Inner Hebrides. The royal couple met with staff at the Fionnphort ferry terminal in Mull before boarding a ferry to Iona to meet with the community there.

For the second day in a row, Kate wore neutral, casual clothes, sporting a similar but different tweed jacket to the one she wore yesterday, with what appeared to be the same skinny jeans and boots. She wore her sunglasses on the ferry in the bright spring sunshine.

“Residents on the islands are highly dependent on the ferry routes, which are the only way to reach both islands and transport vital provisions back and forth,” Kensington Palace said in a statement. At the port, the couple was also photographed alongside actress and comedian Ruby Wax, who was apparently on holiday on the islands.

Earlier in the day, William and Kate met rangers from the Mull and Iona Ranger Service at the Ardura Community Forest alongside families exploring the woodland. “A powerful reminder of the importance of protecting the environment and the role outdoor learning plays in building connection and care for nature,” Kensington Palace posted on social media about the outing. It was announced before William and Kate arrived in Scotland that their royal Foundation is providing funding for two new rangers on the islands.

Yesterday, on their 14th wedding anniversary, the couple spent the day on the Isle of Mull and stayed overnight in a self-catering holiday cottage. According to the Press Association, they spoke to locals about a private visit they had made to Mull when they were students at St Andrews University.

Per The Times, Kate showed an interest in DIY and even said she had been given a chainsaw for Christmas as she joined in with renovations on a community hall in Tobermory.
