Another day, another revelation from JoJo Siwa about the end of her relationship with Kath Ebbs. The multihyphenate was the latest guest on Nick Viall’s The Viall Files, where she got candid about her recent breakup and her headspace after it made headlines.
“I’m so happy where I’m at right now that I just want to stay here,” JoJo shared on the Wednesday, April 30 episode. “Whatever that means, whatever this is, I’m great here.”
She also cleared up any confusion about her connection with her Celebrity Big Brother U.K. housemate, Chris Hughes.
“Obviously, a lot of people think that Chris has something to do with it,” the “Karma” singer said, referring to her split. “Chris does not have absolutely anything to do with it. Chris and I are friends. We have a very, very great friendship.”
JoJo, who uses all pronouns, gave more insight into the Big Brother wrap party, where Kath alleged they were “dumped” and humiliated in a since-deleted TikTok video. “That’s not entirely the story,” JoJo said, explaining that her ex originally planned to skip the party before showing up late.
“All of a sudden, we’re at the wrap party for Big Brother. I’m getting cussed out,” she said. “I understand they’re angry and they’re coming at me. But I also keep reiterating, like, I’m not in a place to talk.”
She also revealed that Kath requested that she not discuss their relationship or breakup.
“Out of respect for another human in this situation, they have asked to not speak about it, for me to not speak about them,” she explained. “I told them, I said, ‘Look, that’s going to make me seem like I am avoidant of the situation.’ I’m not avoidant of the situation.”
JoJo’s guest appearance on The Viall Files comes after she and Chris, publicly addressed their friendship and JoJo’s breakup with Kath on This Morning.
“I think our friendship is just a really strong bond between two people, it’s just a strong friendship,” Chris said on the U.K. talk show. “I think you can have a soulmate friendship. I think that’s a thing.”
When asked if she wanted to explore a romantic connection with Chris, JoJo replied, “I don’t know any future of anything, but I’m really grateful for our dynamic that we have and our bond that we have. And whatever life does, life will do.”
