Chappell Roan has signed to Foundations Music for management after cutting ties with her previous manager last November.
News of the signing came from Foundations Music partner Drew Simmons, who has served as Noah Kahan’s manager for over a decade. “Thrilled to be working with @chappellroan — it’s an honor to welcome her to @foundations,” he wrote on Instagram. The company’s website features a landing page welcoming Roan to the Foundations Music family, and representatives for Roan confirmed the signing to Variety.

Founded in New York in 2001, Foundations touts a roster that includes Kahan, Laufey, Rebecca Black, Wilder Woods and Gabe Simon. Simmons previously held positions at Red Light Management before partnering with Steve Bursky, Brian Winton and Max Credinger at Foundations.
Roan was previously managed by State of the Art’s Nick Bobetsky, who had repped her since 2018. In November, Billboard reported that she split with Bobetsky after she picked up Grammy nominations for album of the year, record and song of the year, and best new artist, the latter of which she won.
With Bobetsky, Roan broke through with her 2023 debut album “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.” Following its release, she gained momentum following must-see performances at Coachella and Lollapalooza. At the latter, she drew in what was considered one of the biggest daytime audiences in the festival’s history.
Roan is reportedly working on her sophomore album with producer Dan Nigro and most recently released her country single “The Giver” in March. The song, which she first premiered during her “Saturday Night Live” performance last year, debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.
