Lana Del Rey is switching up her look.
The star debuted a new hairstyle during her Friday, April 25 set at the Stagecoach Music Festival in Indio, Calif., trading her signature honey blonde locks for brunette curls. Del Rey, 39, performed wearing a butter yellow lace dress with a satin ribbon at the waist. Her hair, now a chestnut brown, was parted to the side and fell to her shoulders in bouncy curls.
Earlier this month, she gave fans a sneak peak at the transformation on Instagram. In a photo shared on April 11, the singer lays her head on a pillow, her newly dark hair tucked behind her ears.
Though Del Rey has gone dark before, she’s been rocking a dark blonde hue for some time. At the Variety Hitmakers Brunch in December 2024, the “Summertime Sadness” singer’s hair was side-parted and styled into voluminous, Old Hollywood-inspired curls, accentuating her blonde highlights.

During her Stagecoach performance, the singer debuted a song called “57.5,” in which she revealed that she once kissed country star Morgan Wallen. She prefaced the lyrical confession by sharing that it would be “the last time I’m ever going to say this line.”
“I kissed Morgan Wallen / I guess kissing me kind of went to his head,” she sang. “If you want my secret to success / I suggest don’t go ATVing with him when you’re out west.”
It wasn’t clear when the kiss in question took place. A rep for Wallen, 31, did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment on Saturday, April 26.

Del Rey has been teasing another new song, “Bluebird.” In a video on Instagram, the singer broke down the deeper meaning behind the ballad, explaining that the titular bluebird functions as a metaphor for self-healing.
The Grammy nominee recalled, “I had been seeing someone for a very long time and we hadn’t seen each other for a while, and he called and he asked me if I wanted to go for a walk. I was kind of excited, but I didn’t think it was a very good idea. And I said yes, and I started getting dressed, and all of a sudden a bird smacked into the double pane window doors of my bedroom, and I was shocked. I opened the little door and I saw this little, I think it was like a little sparrow, right there. And I just was so emotional.”

The track is a single off of Del Rey’s upcoming country album. She previously stated that the album would be titled Lasso, but in another recent Instagram video about the track “Henry Come On,” she confirmed that she would be changing the title.
“I do have a lot more to say, that — I mean, you know it’s not gonna come on time, right?” she said. “Like, should I even tell you that the name changed again? Should I tell you that now while you’re so happy that you even have a song? Yeah. Maybe I’ll wait.”
