Jordon Hudson and Bill Belichick made headlines after the UNC football coach’s girlfriend shut down a question about how they met during his interview with CBS Sunday Mornings on April 27.
When asked about the moment Belichick, 73, met his 24-year-old girlfriend, the coach stayed silent while Hudson told journalist Tony Dokoupilthey they couldn’t talk about it.
“We’re not talking about this,” she said, as Dokoupil turned to her and asked, “No?”
The clip quickly went viral on social media, and the couple’s relationship was put under the microscope as fans speculated why they didn’t want to share how they met.
Despite refusing to answer the question during the CBS interview, Hudson has talked about how she met the former NFL coach on social media.

In a post on Feb. 11, shortly after they walked the red carpet together at the NFL Honors, Hudson posted a closeup photo of her and Belichick’s hands around her waist at the event to celebrate their “meetiversary,” which she said happened on the same day in 2021.

“February 11th, 2025 ➡️ February 11th, 2021,” Hudson began in her caption. “Happy Meetiversary @billbelichick — Cheers 🥂 to the fact that you still let me give you lengthy philosophical lectures four years later.”
In the second slide, Hudson showed the note that Belichick wrote inside her textbook after their first meeting, when she was a student at Bridgewater State University. The note from Belichick reads, “Thanks for giving me a course on logic! Safe travels.” He concluded the post with his signature, including all of his Super Bowl wins.

Hudson added several hashtags to the caption, including “#Ironic” and “#LoveIsNotLogical.
Belichick sat down for the CBS interview ahead of the release of his new book, The Art of Winning: Lessons from a Life in Football. Hudson accompanied her beau to the interview, wearing a matching sweatshirt with Belichick. Dokoupil described her as a “constant presence” during the interview.

Belichick stayed mostly quiet regarding his relationship with Hudson, except for when Dokoupil acknowledged Hudson’s presence while asking Belichick how he feels with all of the public interest in the couple’s relationship and private lives. “I’ve never been too worried about what everyone else thinks,” the UNC-Chapel Hill head football coach replied, adding that instead, he just tries “to do what I feel like is best for me, and what’s right.”
The couple didn’t make their relationship public until September 2024, when she welcomed him to Instagram after he joined the social media platform.
Hudson and Belichick made their red carpet debut later that year at the American Museum of Natural History Gala on Dec. 5 and rang in the New Year together.
