President Trump’s approval rating among Hispanic voters dipped to 34 percent in the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll.

The poll shows a 3-point decline from the 37 percent of Hispanic voters who said they approved of the president in January.

Trump’s disapproval rating among Hispanic voters, meanwhile, jumped 7 points, from 54 percent in January to 61 percent in April.

Overall, the latest poll shows 42 percent of Americans approved of the job the president is doing, compared to 53 percent who disapproved.

Hispanic voters represented a key voting bloc for the president in 2024. While the majority of Hispanic voters backed former Vice President Kamala Harris, 46 percent supported Trump’s bid — a 14-point increase from the support he won from Hispanic voters in 2020. Many point to the boost in Hispanic support for Trump as pivotal to his victory in 2024.

The latest poll shows Hispanic voters souring on Trump’s handling of the economy and immigration.

Less than one-third of Hispanic voters, 29 percent, said they approve of Trump’s “stewardship of economy,” while 57 percent said they disapprove.

That’s compared to white voters, who were split on Trump’s handling of the economy, with 45 percent saying they approve and 45 percent saying they disapprove. While 13 percent of Black voters said they approve of Trump’s handling of the economy, 70 percent did not.

One-third of Hispanic voters said they approve of Trump’s handling of immigration, with 55 percent disapproving. Meanwhile, 54 percent of white voters approved and 39 percent disapproved; among Black voters, 20 percent approved and 64 percent disapproved.

The latest poll is consistent with similar polls published ahead of Trump’s 100-day benchmark in his second term. In a recent CNN poll, Trump’s approval rating was 41 percent overall, down 4 points from March. Among Hispanic voters, Trump’s approval declined from 35 percent in March to 28 percent in the April poll.

The Reuters/Ipsos poll included 4,306 adults surveyed April 16-21 with margins of error between approximately 2 and 4 percentage points.
