Justin Hartley is transforming his CBS series ‘Tracker’ into a DC Universe hub, securing landmark reunions with ‘Smallville’ star Erica Durance and ‘Arrow’ alum David Ramsey, creating a must-see crossover event for fans.

In a move that has thrilled superhero television fans, Justin Hartley is using his platform as the star of CBS’s Tracker to orchestrate a series of high-profile reunions, most notably bringing together stars from two of the most beloved DC shows in television history: Smallville and Arrow. The actor, who played Oliver Queen in the original Superman series, is now setting the stage for an onscreen crossover that feels like a full-blown DC event.

The centerpiece of this reunion wave is the casting of Erica Durance, the iconic Lois Lane from Smallville, who will guest-star in an episode airing March 22. According to reporting from Matt Mitovich’s Inside Line, Durance will portray Laura, a stuntwoman who seeks out Hartley’s character, expert tracker Colter Shaw, when her boyfriend mysteriously vanishes from a film set.

The reunion extends beyond just Durance, as her onscreen husband in the episode will be played by David Ramsey, who famously portrayed John Diggle in The CW’s Arrow. This casting is particularly significant for fans, as it creates a direct link between the two separate television universes that both centered on the Green Arrow. Hartley originated the role of Oliver Queen on Smallville years before the character was rebooted with Stephen Amell for Arrow.

This latest reunion is part of a larger trend Hartley has cultivated since Tracker premiered in 2024. The actor has leveraged his position to welcome a steady stream of former colleagues onto the show. So far, this impressive list of guest stars includes Jensen Ackles, Jennifer Morrison, and Sofia Pernas, all of whom have worked with him on previous projects like This Is Us and Supernatural.

The influx of beloved actors comes at a time when Tracker has also navigated significant behind-the-scenes changes. The procedural has faced multiple cast exits, including the departure of series regular Robin Weigert after the first season, as well as the confirmed exits of Abby McEnany and Eric Graise. Executive producer Elwood Reid has framed these changes as part of the show’s natural evolution, telling Us Weekly in May 2025 that the goal is to avoid falling into a formulaic rut.

“The only rule I really have of the show is each week Colter is going to come to a new place and there’s going to be a new case,” Reid explained. “How he gets those answers and what he uses on the team, that’s all something that’s up for grabs… Meeting these [local] weird characters is something we’re going to try to do more of as the season goes on. Just Colter coming in and interacting with other characters. That’s fun to see Justin flex those muscles with really good guest cast members.”

This approach has led to the addition of new recurring characters, including Kathleen Robertson as the enigmatic attorney Maxine and Mark Engelhardt as the morally complex Emile Lang. These new faces are being introduced as the show continues to shift its focus, ensuring that Colter Shaw’s world remains dynamic and full of surprises.

For fans, the convergence of Smallville and Arrow alumni on a single procedural series is a unprecedented event. It represents a powerful callback to the eras that defined modern superhero television on the small screen and positions Tracker as a unique and exciting destination for legacy characters. With more onscreen changes teased by the producers, the stage is set for even more surprising reunions and crossovers to come.

Tracker returns to CBS Sunday, March 1, at 9 p.m. ET, with the landmark Smallville and Arrow reunion episode airing March 22.
