The NFL playoffs have narrowed down to four teams, setting the stage for a thrilling Conference Championship weekend. The Denver Broncos face the New England Patriots in the AFC, while the Seattle Seahawks take on the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC. Both games promise high stakes and intense competition as teams vie for a spot in Super Bowl 60.

The NFL playoffs have delivered drama, controversy, and unforgettable moments, culminating in a Conference Championship weekend that promises to be equally thrilling. With only four teams remaining, the path to Super Bowl 60 is clearer than ever. Here’s a comprehensive breakdown of the upcoming matchups, schedules, and what’s at stake.

What NFL Playoff Games Are This Weekend?

Only four teams remain in the hunt for Super Bowl 60. Here are the matchups for the two conference championship games:

AFC Championship Game

  • No. 1 Denver Broncos vs. No. 2 New England Patriots

NFC Championship Game

  • No. 1 Seattle Seahawks vs. No. 5 Los Angeles Rams

Week 1: The New England Patriots' Robert Spillane (14) and Christian Elliss (53) tackle Las Vegas Raiders tight end Michael Mayer (87) during the second half at Gillette Stadium. The Raiders won the game, 20-13.

NFL Playoffs Schedule: Conference Championship Weekend

Both of the NFL’s conference championship games will take place on Sunday, Jan. 25. The AFC championship game is first up in the afternoon, and the NFC championship game will kick off in the evening, shortly after the first game ends.

Below is a full look at the NFL’s conference championship schedule.

Sunday NFL Playoff Games

  • Denver Broncos vs. New England Patriots: 3 p.m. | CBS

  • Seattle Seahawks vs. Los Angeles Rams: 6:30 p.m. | Fox

Week 1: New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson (3) fumbles the ball on a tackle by Washington Commanders safety Will Harris (3) during the first quarter at Northwest Stadium. It was a rough Giants debut for Wilson (17 of 37 passing for 168 yards) as the Commanders won the game, 21-6.

Updated NFL Playoff Bracket

There are four teams remaining, and the NFC opponents know each other quite well.

The Rams and Seahawks are NFC West rivals, meeting for a third time this year. The two teams split the regular-season series this year as each won its home game.

Their most recent game was just over one month ago, on Dec. 18 in Week 16. The Seahawks stormed back from a 30-14 deficit in the fourth quarter to send the game to overtime. In overtime, both teams scored a touchdown; however, Seattle won the game with a two-point conversion to walk it off. Both teams gained over 400 yards of offense, and the Rams recorded a league high of 581 yards.

Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots are meeting in the NFL postseason for the first time since the 2015 AFC championship game. A decade ago, Peyton Manning led the Broncos over Tom Brady and the Patriots 20-18 in what ended up being the last head-to-head between Brady and Manning. Denver went on to win Super Bowl 50 and Manning retired.

Denver hopes to repeat history, while the Patriots will be looking to take advantage of the Broncos, who lost starting quarterback Bo Nix to a season-ending ankle injury in the team’s divisional-round win.

Here is a look at the updated NFL playoff bracket for 2025:

Conference Championship Weekend

AFC

  • 1. Denver Broncos vs. 2. New England Patriots

NFC

  • 1. Seattle Seahawks vs. 5. Los Angeles Rams

How Does the NFL Playoff Bracket Work?

The NFL playoff bracket is ever-changing and differs from the static formats common in other leagues. That means that seedings play a significant role in future matchups. Based on seeding, the No. 1-seeded Broncos and Seahawks faced off against the worst team remaining in their conference in the divisional round.

The No. 1 seeds were granted a bye to the divisional round of the postseason, while the remaining six teams in each conference played in the wild-card round.

Denver and Seattle also held home-field advantage throughout their respective brackets, as long as they remained in the playoffs. If either team lost, the best remaining team – based on seeding – would have gained home-field advantage. Since the Broncos and Seahawks both won, they will host their respective conference championship games.

With just four teams left – two in each conference – there’s no additional room for the bracket’s dynamic nature. The four teams that won last weekend will face off in their respective conference championship games this weekend to determine who will travel to Santa Clara for Super Bowl 60.

When Will the Super Bowl Matchup Be Known?

The competitors in Super Bowl 60 will be determined by the end of Sunday night, following the conclusion of the Seahawks vs. Rams NFC championship game in Seattle.
