Tragic Loss of a Rising Star

Phoenix Spicer, a 23-year-old former Australian Football League (AFL) player, passed away on Friday, Jan. 2, according to a statement from Dharna Nicholson-Bux, the sister of his girlfriend, Ky-ya Nicholson Ward. The cause of death remains undisclosed.

A Brief but Impactful Career

Spicer was drafted by the North Melbourne Football Club in 2020 and made his AFL debut in 2021. He played for the club until 2023, contributing to a team that valued his spirit and work ethic. His last game with the team was in 2023, as confirmed by the club’s official website, NMFC.com.
