Spring into healthy hair! Celebrity hairstylist Nikki Lee has created stunning ‘dos for Selena Gomez, Sophia Bush, Emma Roberts, Hilary Duff, and more, and now she’s spilling the looks we can expect to see on the It-girls this season.

To combat bad hair days as the weather heats up, Lee, who celebrated her role as Wella’s Global Ambassador on April 10 at Nine Zero One salon in West Hollywood, California, relies on the brand’s Ultimate Smooth collection.

“Focus on getting healthy hair. Start with a good shampoo and try using a mask once a week. Nourishing your hair is always going to help alleviate any hair troubles,” she tells ET.

“Springtime means extra humidity, which leads to more frizz, and drier ends. I love using the Ultimate Smooth Oil to help with both. It lasts in the hair for up to three days, which keeps it hydrated for longer and prevents people from over washing,” she continues.

Once your locks are looking luscious, it’s time to experiment with colors, cuts, and styles.

“My creative process can be steered from my clients’ upcoming movies or shows. Other times, it can come from a collaboration on what we think would look great, or what could just be a fun change,” the In Common co-founder notes.

Her current favorite trends: “Red isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, but there will be different variations, like light coppers and deeper tones.”

“Spring and summer will be all about smooth hair. Soft, tousled, effortless waves and styles will be the vibe,” the hair guru adds.

As for what we can watch for on Gomez? “I think it’s time for Selena to go lighter and longer for her new era,” Lee dishes.
