Kelley Wolf was arrested in the late hours of Tuesday, Aug. 26 on allegations of electronic communication harassment and electronic disclosure of personal identifying information.

The Real World: New Orleans star, 48 — who is currently going through a contentious divorce with husband Scott Wolf — was detained at her home in Summit County, Utah.

She’s currently being held at the Summit County Jail, according to online records, but has yet to go before a judge (which means no bail has been set). It’s unclear if she has obtained legal counsel.

PEOPLE has reached out to police, and to Kelley, for more information.

Electronic harassment, also referred to as cyber harassment or online harassment, is the repeated use of electronic communication to target an individual with threatening, intimidating, or harmful behavior. This may include sending persistent unwanted messages, sharing private information without consent, or publishing false and damaging statements. In some cases, it also involves the electronic disclosure of personal identifying information — often called “doxxing” — where details such as addresses, phone numbers, or financial records are shared without authorization.

Such conduct is often intended to cause fear, distress or anxiety. In many jurisdictions, they may fall under harassment, privacy laws, stalking or similar criminal statutes, making the poster subject to arrest and prosecution.

Prior to being taken to jail, Kelley had shared about her arrest on Instagram Stories. “The police are at my house to arrest me. I have no idea why,” she wrote, in part. “Deputy Norton said I must comply and I will.”

“I am not suicidal. I am no danger to anyone. I have done nothing,” she added. “I am so scared. So confused.”

But it’s Kelley’s Instagram posts that appear to have contributed to her arrest.

Over the past few days, she’s been sharing a series of increasingly confrontational posts, aimed at doxxing friends and family members — including Scott, 57 — while also posting a stream of insults and allegations against them. Some of those posts have included communication with the three minor children she shares with Scott

In addition to contributing to the online harassment, those posts all appear to go against the latest temporary stipulated agreement between Kelley and Scott.

Signed by a Utah judge on Tuesday and reviewed by PEOPLE, the document — an update of a previous decision from July 15 which was first filed Aug. 22 following an Aug. 4 review hearing — contains a social media and press gag order for Scott and Kelley to not post about one another, their marriage, their children or their divorce. The estranged pair are also barred from making disparaging remarks about the other parent to the children, either verbally or in writing.

Kelley and Scott share sons Jackson, 16, and Miller, 12, as well as daughter Lucy, 11. The former couple were married for 21 years before she announced they were parting ways in June. He filed for divorce on June 10.

Per the agreement, the Party of Five actor has temporary sole physical custody of their kids, and temporary “decision-making authority.” Kelley has “liberal” supervised parenting time, which includes three permitted supervised video or phone calls per week. She is allowed to respond if her children initiate additional contact.

As for the publishing of false and damaging statements, which is a core element of electronic communication harassment, Scott alleged to PEOPLE in an Aug. 15-statement that Kelley’s claims of abuse — which she has made both online and in several 911 calls reviewed by PEOPLE — were “completely baseless and incredibly dangerous.”

He also provided text messages in which Kelley appeared to have told Scott that she planned to “make claims” against him in an effort to “create more urgency to get the kids back. Or at least get back joint custody.” She wrote in the messages that Scott had “made me into a villain” after her dismissed restraining order on July 19, and that the only way she could “fight back” was to “produce claims that are either the same as yours or greater.”

Said Scott: “I am now choosing to come forward and share that she has described to me her plans to ‘make claims’ about me, although she also admitted, ‘I do not believe they’re true,’ in order to gain an advantage in what she sees as a ‘battle’ in court, and in the court of public opinion. In order to protect my kids, I am providing the text messages she sent to me where she describes this plan, so there are no questions about her intentions, or the malicious intent behind her false allegations made and/or planned for the future.”

“I hope that anyone who might speak publicly or report on such things, will consider this before spreading any further information from a clearly unreliable and completely compromised source,” he added. “I continue to ask for privacy and respect for our family, and give thanks to all those who have shown their love and support.”

In response to Scott, Kelley exclusively told PEOPLE: “I will be very clear when I say this: I don’t believe that Scott would [abuse our children].”

“I’ve lost my career, my reputation, my children, my integrity, my honor, my devotion to my marriage,” Kelley added. “As a parent, I have literally lost everything except my life. I’ve done everything strategic, and I’m hopeful for my children.”
