Kyle Hamilton’s bank account balance is set to add a few more zeroes.

The Baltimore Ravens agreed to a four-year, $100.4 million extension with the All-Pro safety on Wednesday, a person familiar with the negotiations confirmed to USA TODAY Sports’ Tyler Dragon.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal is not yet official.

It’s a deal that makes Hamilton the highest-paid safety in NFL history. He’s been a mainstay at the back end of the Ravens’ defense, playing in 48 of a potential 51 regular season games since being drafted in 2022.

Now the Notre Dame product is cashing in, helping reset the market for a position that isn’t often synonymous with big paydays.

Here’s what to know about Hamilton’s extension with the Ravens.

Kyle Hamilton contract details

Hamilton agreed to a four-year deal worth $100.4 million, according to reports, and confirmed by USA TODAY Sports’ Tyler Dragon.

The deal comes with $82 million guaranteed and carries an average annual value (AAV) of $25.1 million, making him the highest-paid safety, according to OverTheCap. Kerby Joseph of the Detroit Lions previously held that title after agreeing to a four-year, $86 million extension in April.

The 24-year-old had two years remaining on his rookie deal after the Ravens’ exercised his fifth-year option. It keeps the Notre Dame product in Baltimore for the foreseeable future.
