It’s no secret the human rights lawyer is a fan of the coquettish color, last sporting a How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days-inspired butter yellow corset gown at last year’s Venice Film Festival. And on Tuesday, August 26, Clooney continued making an elegant case for butter yellow’s continued reign in the second half of 2025 as she stepped out with her husband George for a surprise joint appearance in Venice.

Ahead of the 2025 Venice Film Festival, Amal shared a nod to last year’s festival appearance by wearing a midi-length version of her butter yellow Versace gown. Taking the water taxis with George, the star wowed in a plunging light yellow sleeveless halterneck dress with a belted design and a structured bodice. Amal’s Balmain dress featured a thigh-high slit in front, as well as two large pockets on either side of her skirt. A matching belt with a large gold belt buckle cinched in her waist and held the dress firmly in place.

Wearing her long, golden-highlighted brown hair in her signature side-parted blowout, Amal could be seen smiling and holding hands with her husband as they entered Venice ahead of the film festival. She accentuated her warm complexion with a berry-hued glossy lipstick and a mauve flush on her cheekbones.

The British humanitarian embraced Italian glamour with her accessories, adding oversized black sunglasses, silver drop earrings, gold bracelets, and white leather pointy-toed slingback stilettos. A white leather croissant-shaped purse with gold metallic detailing along the handle finished off her look.
