Donatella Versace is glowing!
The fashion designer, 70, showed off a summer beauty look, prompting fans to comment on her glamorous appearance.
In a photo shared to Instagram on Sunday, Aug. 24, Donatella wears a champagne-colored dress covered in eye-catching sequins, as well as a stack of sparkling necklaces. Her blonde hair is styled into effortless waves and her skin appears smooth and youthful in the soft light of sunset.
“Summer twilight ✨🌅💜,” the designer captioned the post.
Fellow fashion titan Vera Wang commented on the photo, writing, “Simply beautiful 😌🙏🌹”
Paris Hilton and Marc Jacobs shared heart eye and red heart emojis respectively, while Lauren Sanchez Bezos commented, “Golden hour ❤️”
One fan chimed in with, “The best she’s ever looked. Very natural and demure.”
Another shared, “You look beautiful. Finally back to the real you 🔥❤️✨”
Others commented on Donatella’s “new face,” though the designer has not confirmed any plastic surgery procedures.
Earlier this year, Donatella stepped down as her namesake brand’s creative director to become its global ambassador.
Donatella took over Versace following the 1997 murder of her brother, Gianni Versace. In her nearly 30-year tenure, she was instrumental in shaping the label’s identity in the modern era.
The designer confirmed the news in an Instagram post on Thursday, March 12, announcing that Dario Vitale would be taking over to become the brand’s chief creative officer as of April 1, 2025.
“Championing the next generation of designers has always been important to me,” the post read. “I am thrilled that Dario Vitale will be joining us, and excited to see Versace through new eyes. I want to thank my incredible design team and all the employees at Versace that I have had the privilege of working with for over three decades.”
“It has been the greatest honor of my life to carry on my brother Gianni’s legacy,” Donatella continued. “He was the true genius, but I hope I have some of his spirit and tenacity.”

“In my new role as Chief Brand Ambassador, I will remain Versace’s most passionate supporter. Versace is in my DNA and always in my heart,” the message, which was signed by Donatella, concluded.
In May, Donatella publicly denounced the new Donatella Boutique Hotel & Restaurant in Miami, claiming that she is not affiliated with the establishment.
“Let me be clear,” she began in an Instagram post. “The hotel and restaurant named Donatella, located near our former family home in Miami, will never have anything to do with me or my family. To try to capitalize on our tragedy and my name for profit is disgraceful.”
The new hotel, which is a Nakash and Vida & Estilo Hospitality group property, opened on the Miami Beach property on Wednesday, May 21.
PEOPLE reached out to Nakash and Vida & Estilo Hospitality groups for comment.
Nakash and Vida & Estilo Hospitality groups also converted the Versace mansion, where Donatella’s brother, Gianni, was tragically killed, into a hotel, the Villa Casa Casuarina. The hotel also has a restaurant called Gianni’s.
The hospitality group is advertising the new property as a “sister property” to Villa Casa Casuarina, per Ocean Drive magazine.
