The all-star 50th season is just months away, but first, “Survivor” fans will watch 18 new contestants vie for the title of sole survivor and the $1 million prize.
The cast of “Survivor” Season 49 was released on Wednesday, Aug. 20, showcasing the faces of the next batch of players set to overcome the elements, food deprivation and brutal competition in the Mamanuca Islands of Fiji while voting each other out one by one.
Among the castaways are a political communications director in Washington, D.C., a California film producer, a Boston wellness specialist and a Texas rocket scientist.
Longtime host Jeff Probst has confirmed that two players from the new season also played in the milestone Season 50, joining the likes of “Survivor” legend Cirie Fields and “The White Lotus” creator Mike White. However, their identities have been withheld.
From 52-year-old Utah airport ramp agent Matt Williams to 25-year-old New York tech salesman Rizo Velovic, who goes by “Rizz God,” here’s the cast of “Survivor” 49.
When does ‘Survivor’ 49 start?
“Survivor” Season 49 premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 24, in a two-hour episode starting at 8 p.m. ET.
Episodes will shift to 90 minutes weekly starting Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

“Survivor” Season 49 will air Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and stream on Paramount+ for subscribers with the Paramount+ Showtime plan.
Episodes can be streamed the next day for subscribers of any Paramount+ plan.
The first 48 seasons of the show are all available to stream with a Paramount+ subscription.
