We often see the little black dress lauded as the wardrobe staple to have on hand for a rainy day. But it seems we’ve all been collectively sleeping on the power of a little white dress. Margaret Qualley made a strong case for the season’s breeziest essential during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
The actress, who has been promoting her latest project, Honey Don’t!, chose a crisp white minidress by SIR that felt both effortless and polished.
Cut from airy linen, the halter-style top offered a fresh departure from the spaghetti straps of the Chanel looks she often favors. Her stylist for the occasion Danielle Goldberg, chose to opt for a monochrome approach.
She paired it with classic white pointed heels that matched her dress to a T. As for her hair, Qualley leaned into serious nostalgia with her Old Hollywood soft waves and her bangs pulled back in a subtle pouf.
Honey Don’t! is a queer-leaning true crime story directed by Ethan Coen, starring Aubrey Plaza, Chris Evans, Charlie Day, and Billy Eichner. Qualley plays Honey O’Donahue, a small-town private investigator unraveling a series of mysterious deaths linked to a local church while navigating a romance with Plaza’s character. The film marks Qualley’s second collaboration with Coen, following 2024’s Drive-Away Dolls.
Earlier this year, Honey Don’t! premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, where it earned a lively six-minute standing ovation.
