A music fan is crying over spilled milk after a wine-infused night resulted in her messaging her celebrity crush.
The woman detailed her actions on the community forum Mumsnet, where she elaborated on the aftermath but kept the celebrity’s name anonymous.
“A bit lighthearted. He is a member of a semi-famous indie band,” she explained. “I just replied to his Instagram Stories asking about his pet.”
“Nothing at all flirty,” she emphasized of the late-night message, which she bravely sent after having “a couple glasses of wine.”

Now, the woman is regretting sending the message to her celeb crush.
“He didn’t reply, but now I feel like an absolute tit,” she wrote. “He probably gets loads of messages from fans and doesn’t really read them so I’m probably being unreasonable!”
Wondering if she’s overreacting about her message, the woman asked the Mumsnet forum for their opinions on her actions and her feelings.

In a poll underneath her post, 70% of more than 1,000 voters opted to choose the “You are being unreasonable” voting option.
“No remorse required, unless you made a cringe pun about his pet along the lines of ‘I wish you were MY little chihuahua!’ And even then it’s just funny,” one reader replied, while another wrote, ”You did nothing wrong.”
A third Mumsnet user responded, “Inspired by this thread I’ve just commented on a story of a person famous in their niche field, completely unknown outside of that, I wonder if I’ll get a reply.”
