The Oscar-winning actor, 70, and his beautiful wife, 74, headed to the red carpet on Wednesday evening to attend the Los Angeles special screening of Spike Lee‘s Highest 2 Lowest at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. Washington, who is best known for films like Training Day, Flight, and The Equalizer, smiled joyfully at the event, which celebrated Washington and Lee’s fifth movie together. Dressed all in black, Washington placed his hands on his wife’s shoulders as he looked out at the crowd of photographers. Meanwhile, his beautiful bride sported a fun orange outfit and smiled brightly.

In a recent interview with Extra, Washington sat down alongside his costar Jeffrey Wright and opened up about the advice he’d give his younger self.
“Pray more. That’s it. Pray more,” Washington said, smiling and nodding. “That’s what I would tell that younger Denzel Washington. Pray more. Get on your knees more.”
Washington previously told Esquire that he doesn’t think it’s “fashionable” to talk about religion in Hollywood.
“When you see me, you see the best I could do with what I’ve been given by my Lord and Savior. I’m unafraid. I don’t care what anyone thinks. See, talking about the fear part of it – you can’t talk like that and win Oscars. You can’t talk like that and party. You can’t say that in this town,” he explained. “I’m free now. It’s not talked about in this town. It’s not talked about. It’s not talked about. It’s not fashionable. It’s not sexy. But that doesn’t mean people in Hollywood don’t believe,” he continued.
