Jason Bateman Reveals Just How Close Jennifer Aniston Is to His Family originally appeared on Parade.
Jason Bateman revealed that Jennifer Aniston is much closer to him and his family than most of his former co-stars.
While Aniston, 56, graced the cover of the Monday, August 11, issue of Vanity Fair, Bateman, 56, spoke to the outlet to share insight into their friendship. He even revealed that she’s very close with his two daughters, Francesca, 18, and Maple, 13, whom he shares with wife Amanda Anka.
Bateman went as far to call Aniston more of a “co-mom” with Anka, 56, than just a family friend or aunt.
“She almost makes us parents look bad because she’s so incredibly attentive and consistent with her curiosity and warmth,” Bateman said of Aniston. “She’s the first one to call or text about big dates in the girls’ lives. She has questions about boyfriends.”
After noting that Aniston has been part of his daughters’ lives “from the moment they were born,” he said that it’s “odd for them to even understand the public Jennifer Aniston.”
The Friends alum also opened up about her close dynamic with the family, and she recalled a time when she saw Francesca in one of her bikinis during a joint vacation. “Well, there’s my bikini. Your child is now wearing my bikinis. Whoa. We’ve come a long way,” she jokingly said.
Aniston and Bateman have been able to work together several times over the years, including in the film’s The Switch, Horrible Bosses, Horrible Bosses 2 and Office Christmas Party.

Back in June, Aniston revealed to People that she was interested in reuniting with Bateman for another Horrible Bosses movie. “Jason Bateman and I were talking about that, and Charlie Day has been talking about it a lot too,” Aniston said about possibly filming a third movie in the franchise. “So that’s something that we think would be super fun.”
“The characters are hilarious, and we need comedy,” she continued. “I personally think comedy is a necessity. That’s one that we would have a really fun time, I think, seeing where those crazy cats are today.”
