Jessa Duggar Finally Announces Name for Baby No. 6 & Fans Are Saying the Same Thing originally appeared on Parade.
Jessa Duggar finally revealed the name of baby No. 6 with her husband, Ben Seewald.
On Monday, Aug. 11, the former Counting On star took to Instagram to point followers to her YouTube channel, where she announced the moniker they chose for their newest addition.

In the video, Jessa and Ben announced their baby boy’s name after deciding on it five days after he was born: Edward Owen Seewald.
“Sometimes you’ve got to see their face and maybe even test some names out for a few days,” Ben said. “But we finally made up our mind.”
Jessa added, “The kids are very excited. They were rooting for Edward.”
“We liked the sound of Edward from pretty early on in this pregnancy,” Ben explained. “We always like historical names, too. So there’s some historical significance with Edward—Jonathan Edwards, King Edward VI of England… and then his middle name is Owen, which John Owen is one of my favorite theologians.”
Before announcing the name, Ben and Jessa listed Edward as one of the possible picks.
In the comments of the YouTube video, one fan wrote, “I knew you were going to pick Edward loving it.”
Another shared, “I’m glad you went with Edward. I love it!”
Many others approved the moniker, with one YouTube user writing, “Edward Owen has such great flow. And, the name looks good on paper too with the two w’s. Congrats.”
Someone else commented, “Thank you for sharing. When I heard the name choices, I thought Edward Owen was beautiful.”
Meanwhile, yet another fan wrote, “Oh Edward Owen is a beautiful name! Love it! Congratulations!”

In Part Three of her birth story for their sixth child, Duggar shared the gender of their newborn after revealing his birth date and size in Part Two. The baby weighed 10 pounds, measured 21.5 inches long and was born on July 26.
Jessa and Ben also share three sons, Spurgeon, 9, Henry, 8, and George, 1, and two daughters, Ivy, 5, and Fern, 3.
