This is not a drill — Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers just shared the stage for the first time in over a decade, to celebrate the magic of Camp Rock.
The beloved DCOM premiered 17 years ago, and the JoBros are proving that they still know how to rock a final jam. At the New Jersey kickoff of their 20th anniversary tour, the brothers delighted the crowd with several throwback faves — like “S.O.S.” and “Lovebug” — before teasing a special guest.
“Joe got the job, and then somehow our dad figured it out to get me and Kevin to be involved in the movie too,” Nick Jonas began, as the crowd went wild. “I think it’s time that we all walk down this memory lane to celebrate a little movie called Camp Rock.”
Lovato then joined her ex and former costar Joe Jonas for a medley of their songs from the film, including Joe’s “Gotta Find You,” her iconic solo “This Is Me,” and their Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam duet, “Wouldn’t Change a Thing.”

And it didn’t stop there. To further mark the occasion, Joe and Demi took to social media to lip sync to fellow Disney alum Debby Ryan’s iconic audio in which she says, “I went into the Disney Channel building and I sat down with the president of Disney Channel and I said, ‘I wanna make history.’ And that’s what this is.”
In another video, “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” plays as Joe walks down a hallway, only for Demi to appear at his side.
Lovato’s husband, Jordan “Jutes” Lutes was among those who celebrated the surprise reunion, sharing a video from his backstage view of the performance with the caption, “Couldn’t be more proud… I love u sooo much baby.”
In another Instagram Stories post, he showed off a photo of him and Lovato kissing at the venue.
With its 2008 debut, Camp Rock marked Lovato’s breakout role while putting the JoBros front and center on Disney Channel. The film followed aspiring singer Mitchie Torres (Lovato), who crosses paths with pop sensation Shane Gray (Joe) at a summer music camp. Nick and Kevin Jonas starred as well, filling out the lineup of Shane’s band, Connect3.
The film not only led to a sequel, but helped Lovato and the JoBros land their own solo shows on the network: Sonny With a Chance and Jonas. After starring as love interests in both films, Lovato and Joe also briefly dated in 2010. Years later, Lovato embarked on a joint tour with his brother, Nick, in 2016.

Jesse McCartney joins Jonas Brothers Kevin, Joe, and Nick on stage for their Jonas20 kickoff performance
Lovato wasn’t the only Disney alum who got an onstage invite to the sold-out opening night concert. The MetLife Stadium show also saw the trio invite Jesse McCartney to the stage for a rendition of his 2004 hit, “Beautiful Soul.” This harkens way back, as the brothers opened for McCartney in 2005, just after launching their band.
Another sweet moment saw the brothers joined onstage by their parents, Kevin Jonas Sr. and Denise Jonas, and younger brother Frankie, 24, as well as Kevin’s wife, Danielle Jonas, and the couple’s daughters Valentina, 8, and Alena, 11. Together, they sang the band’s 2007 track “When You Look Me in the Eyes.”
