A former Charlie’s Angels star embraced a whirlwind adventure and shared the highlights via her Instagram page. Jaclyn Smith, 79, gave all the credit to her “wonderful husband” and admitted the chaos and anxiety of it all was worth it.
On August 8, Smith shared a handful of photos on Instagram showing her on a sweet getaway with her husband, Brad Allen, to the beach.
In the caption, Smith detailed, “What a whirlwind! My wonderful husband has done it again.”
She explained, “Brad met me in Philadelphia after my work trip for HSN, where he surprised me with a trip to Bermuda for some much needed relaxing and reading on the beach.”

In the first photo Smith shared, she stood on the beach with Allen. She wore an animal-print cover-up over what appeared to be a modest black bathing suit. A baseball cap and oversized sunglasses helped her fly under the radar, while her iconic brunette locs blew in the ocean breeze.
Smith gushed, “From motor scooters to our tiny electric car, I’ve been putting my nerves aside to experience lots of new modes of transportation on this trip!”
“The payoff of these views has been more than worth it,” Smith added of the nerves she had to push aside.
Additional photos the Charlie’s Angels alum shared showed her lounging by the ocean, checking out a beachside braiding booth, and hopping on an electric scooter.
Another snapshot featured Allen standing by the driver’s door of their tiny rental car, and an additional picture was a selfie he snapped of the lovebirds standing close to one another.
Several photos Smith included in her post showed the couple embracing one another, and fans loved it all.
One fan noticed that both Smith and Allen had bright blue flip-flops and commented, “How cute are your matching sandals.” Smith quipped, “My fashionable hubby,” in response.
Another fan wrote, “What a great guy he is!! Have a super fun vacation!!”
“You have been working so hard. Brad is so kind. Enjoy the quiet and the time together love,” added someone else.
As People shared in August 2024, Smith wed Allen in 1997. She had three previous marriages, to Roger Davis, Dennis Cole, and Tony Richmond.
Smith met Allen when her father was a patient at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center. Allen was her father’s surgeon, and the sparks flew between them. They wed after seven years together.
In October 2022, in celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary, Smith said in an Instagram post that Allen was “my guy, my best friend, my partner in life who keeps me laughing through the ups and downs and takes such good care of all of us.”
