Zac Brown‘s ex-wife Kelly Yazdi just dropped her “biggest update yet” amid the former couple’s ongoing legal battle.
On Friday, August 8, the model took to Instagram to share takeaways from the latest court order in the case.
“Yesterday was a huge day. The federal judge issued an order declaring that Zac’s contracts—those he’s been using to try to silence me—are UNENFORCEABLE as written,” she said. “The judge made it clear: celebrities do not get special treatment, and they are not above the law.”
Yazdi has been embroiled in a legal battle with Brown since he filed a lawsuit against her in May 2024. The country star alleges Yazdi defamed him with an Instagram post about being in a controlling and abusive relationship, though he was not named in the post.
Brown also claimed her post was in violation of her employment agreement with his company, Zac Brown Collective. The case is set to go to trial in September.

Yazdi’s post continued saying her ex-husband is “0 for 3” against her, as his temporary restraining order was denied, his preliminary injunction was withdrawn, and now his contracts are “unenforceable” as written.
“His choice to drag me through lawsuits, while using his PR machine to spin false narratives about me, has only led to loss after loss for him,” she continued. “Karma is a.. well you know …”
“I’ve attached the court orders so you can read them for yourself. And you can bet I’m looking forward to the September 15 trial date at the Atlanta U.S. District Courthouse (open to the public),” Yazdi concluded the post. “To everyone who’s stood by me: thank you. This is a huge win—not just for me, but for truth 🙌.”
Yazdi has been vocal about her legal battle with her ex, frequently taking to Instagram to share updates on the case. She has also spoken out about Brown’s recent engagement to jewelry designer Kendra Scott, but insists she has no ill will towards Scott or their relationship.

“This is also not about Zac’s new fiancée. I will forever be a girls’ girl, and I wish her the best,” she posted on a since-expired Instagram Story. “I would just hope that it would be more important to Zac to focus on his new engagement versus trying to control his last…but here we are.”
