Kristi Noem reacts to ‘lazy’ “South Park” parody, claims only liberals mock women’s looks: ‘They just pick something petty’

Kristi Noem, the United States Secretary of Homeland Security, has responded to animated comedy South Park‘s recent satirical portrayal of her as an Immigration and Customs Enforcement czar with a melting face.

Wednesday’s episode of the series’ 27th season followed South Park Elementary counselor Mr. Mackey’s indoctrination into ICE, with the fictional version of Noem eventually following him to Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago compound in Florida. Noem is depicted as a puppy killer (a reference to the story she told about shooting her “less than worthless” hunting dog Cricket in her 2024 memoir, No Going Back) who uses lots of Botox and even raids a “Dora the Explorer Live!” performance.

“I didn’t get to see it, I was going over budget numbers and stuff,” Noem said on the latest episode of The Glenn Beck Program. “I just think it’s, yeah, it never ends.”

Noem added that she thinks “it’s so lazy to constantly make fun of women for how they look,” and that “only the liberals and the extremists do that” to others.

“If they wanted to criticize my job, go ahead and do that, but clearly they can’t,” she said. “They just pick something petty like that.”

Neither Beck nor Noem mentioned Trump’s body-shaming of Rosie O’Donnell during the 2016 election cycle, when, during a debate, he responded to conservative commentator Megyn Kelly bringing up his past comments that referred to women as “fat pigs,” “dogs,” “slobs” and “disgusting animals” by quipping, “Only Rosie O’Donnell.”

Later, in 2024, Trump took aim at his presidential election opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, by telling supporters at a rally that he is “much better looking” than Harris, amid also comparing her laugh to that of a “crazy” person.

Entertainment Weekly has reached out to representatives for South Park for a response to Noem.

Noem’s criticism follows an ongoing back-and-forth between Trump’s White House, political allies, and members of the media. South Park‘s season 27 premiere drew a response from the White House after the series depicted Trump attempting to seduce Satan.

“This show hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention,” read a White House statement about the episode. “President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country’s history — and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump’s hot streak.”

Co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone sarcastically apologized for the bit at Comic-Con, following their prior statement expressing frustration over their show’s delayed debut amid Comedy Central parent company Paramount’s then-pending merger with Skydance.

CBS, also owned by Paramount, courted speculation that its abrupt cancellation of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert last month was a politically motivated move aimed at getting the Federal Communications Commission to approve the merger as Colbert is a longtime Trump critic.

The current administration and its associates have also taken aim at The View in recent weeks, with the White House telling EW Thursday in an exclusive statement that the country would be better off if current cohost Joy Behar moved out of America.
