Kate Gosselin Shares Major Career Update 14 Years After TV Run originally appeared on Parade.
Kate Gosselin has gone back to nursing 14 years after her TLC reality show Kate Plus 8 aired its last episode. While many fans had suspected that the mom of eight had returned to nursing — which is what she did before landing a reality show — she clarified her position in a recent TikTok.
Someone asked Gosselin, 50, what kind of nurse she is, and she replied in a video.
“Hi, guys. I get this question a lot so I just wanted to come on here. I’m on way to work, I’m not driving,” she said while buckled in the front seat of a vehicle.
“Yes, I’m back in nursing. I’m currently doing pediatric home healthcare, which involved going into someone’s home, taking care of their medically challenged child… I’m working with one family right now. I used to work with two but I couldn’t balance the schedule,” she explained.

“I work part-time to full-time with them. I go in, I do all the medical care, obviously, as well as bathing, feeding, dressing, all the things. So, we play and have a lot of fun,” she continued, adding, “it’s actually a lot of fun. I miss working with kids. I miss being with kids. The family has other kids that I hang out with as well and I really enjoy it.”
Back in March, The U.S. Sun reported that Gosselin had renewed her nursing license in the state of North Carolina, where she’s lived since March 2021. She had initially applied for her nursing license in the state three months after she relocated.
