Every few months, as the seasons change, all the cool girls show off their transitional looks. Often, this involves layering track shorts over tights, like Suki Waterhouse, or styling a sweater with a flowy maxi skirt, like Jennifer Lawrence. This week, we got Kylie Jenner’s summer-to-autumn uniform.
The sultry, all-black look included plenty of leather, and championed the summer’s hottest shoe—the thong sandal—which Jenner has been a fierce promoter of.
The Khy founder wrapped herself up in a slouchy leather jacket with a high neck and a thick belt cinching it at the waist. She paired the motorcore top with black straight-leg slacks and accessorized with black shades and an archival black leather Gucci bag with a bamboo handle.
Her chic thong sandals this time around each featured criss-crossing straps and a little kitten heel.
Jenner has been repping different styles of the trending shoe all year. Earlier this week, she shocked fans when she climbed atop a pair of ERL’s five-inch platform flip-flops. Last week, looking sweet in a gingham Miu Miu dress, the mogul stepped out in Los Angeles wearing Manolo Blahnik’s black leather Paterno thong sandals—which she also wore with an all-white outfit in April. And back in June—while in Venice, Italy, for the Sánchez-Bezos wedding—she slipped into a cheetah-print lounge set topped with black leather flip-flops.
“She is so hot this summer. She’s so hot,” Jenner told Harper’s Bazaar of the Khy girl aesthetic this season. “I think last summer I had fun in Italy and I was wearing like flowy dresses and cute little tops. Now I’m like, no, no, no. It’s fun, colorful, hot, sexy; that is my vibe.”
