Britney Spears Says New Writing Project is ‘The Best Therapy’ originally appeared on Parade.
Britney Spears is adding the title author to her resume. The 43-year-old pop star shared a social media post this week in which she revealed she’s writing two fiction novels, a move she calls therapeutic and life changing. Spears’ social media post comes on the heels of her ex-husband Kevin Federline’srecent announcement that he’s writing a memoir.

In the post, Spears can be seen looking healthy and fit as she models different outfits while dancing for the camera. She shared a lengthy caption in which she revealed she has been busy going back and forth between Miami and Mexico, and that she’s in the midst of writing two fiction novels.
“It feels good to depart into writing,” she shared, “to dream, marvel and understand the power of the imagination and how it’s so incredibly important for children to always know they can do whatever they put their minds to!!!”
Spears then went on to reveal she feels the world has been “shady” to her recently because she “stopped dreaming.”

While the pop star gave no further insight into the nature of her fiction writing or when fans might be able to read her work, the “Toxic” singer is known to make bold claims on social media.
The singer regularly posts videos of herself dancing in various locations and outfits, from bathing suits to party dresses. Spears is known to share long, unfiltered stream-of-consciousness captions that offer intriguing admissions—from “I almost ran into my house, oh well!!” in reference to a recent car purchase, to a humorous post in which she announced she’d adopted a baby girl, which fans took more literally than she had intended.
