Kevin Federline has announced that he’s writing a memoir.
The new book promises to dive deep into Federline’s life, from his childhood to his marriage to Britney Spears and everything in between.
“This book is extremely intimate and transparent. I achieved my biggest dreams, dealt with crushing heartbreak, and endured constant ridicule, all while becoming the father my children needed as they experienced nonstop emotional turbulence,” Federline said in a press release. “If you’ve ever had questions, you’ll find answers here.”
After the news hit the internet, many fans took to social media platforms to react. On one Reddit thread, for example, Federline received some not-so-positive feedback on his decision to write a tell-all.

“You know, for almost 20 years he only commented through his lawyer. He kept his head down while riding the gravy train. He kept it copacetic, professional even. Is it any mystery—the kids turned 18, the checks stopped coming, and now he’s turning to desperate sources of income?” one person wondered.
“Is this nobody still trying to cash on being Britney’s baby daddy?” someone else asked.
“I literally will NEVER understand what she saw in Kevin!! She could have had any man out there but she chose an unemployed backup dancer with a pregnant girlfriend. Then proposed to him even after he said ON CAMERA that he didn’t believe in marriage. Make it make sense,” a third comment read.
“Get a job. Leave her alone,” a fourth Redditor wrote.
Federline, 47, was married to Spears, 43, from 2004 to 2007. During their relationship, they welcomed two sons, Sean Preston, 19, and Jayden James, 18, both of whom live in Hawaii with their dad.
While he was with Spears, Federline released a rap music album called Playing With Fire. Perhaps unsurprisingly, fans weren’t too thrilled with that career move either, many accusing Federline of using Spears to get him ahead in life.
