Selena Gomez can’t wait to tie the knot with Benny Blanco!
The singer-actress, 33, appeared on Therapuss with Jake Shane on Wednesday, Aug. 6, and dished on her upcoming nuptials to fiancé Blanco, 37. The pair, who met while collaborating on “I Can’t Get Enough” in 2019, announced their engagement on Dec. 11, 2024, after dating for about a year.
Though the bulk of wedding planning is still ahead of them, Gomez shared she can’t wait to marry Blanco.
“I couldn’t be more excited,” she said, adding, “I’m really, I just have never really felt so sure about something.”

Gomez noted she and her fiancé are currently in the midst of their “own personal endeavors,” but once their respective pursuits have wrapped up, they’ll start to get into “all the nitty-gritty” of planning the wedding.
Blanco appeared on the podcast just one month earlier, and shared similar sentiments: they’re busy, but thrilled for the future. At the time, he said they’re both “working on so many things that we hadn’t even had time to get into it, but we’re so excited.”
The Only Murders in the Building actress also revealed how she and Blanco first fostered their professional relationship into something romantic. After she and Blanco worked together on “I Can’t Get Enough,” Gomez said she asked him to “hook [her] up with anybody he knew that was cute.” In turn, Blanco invited her to one of his “dinner nights” with friends, she said, “and the next thing you know, we’re dating.”
“He was terrified in the beginning because he’s like, ‘it’s work and it’s comedy and people are gonna get mad,’ ” Gomez recalled. “And I’m like, ‘I don’t give a s—, kiss me.’ “

If there’s one thing Gomez is sure about for their big day, it’s that her “preferred dessert would be biscuits and gravy,” she shared in an interview clip for her skin and cosmetics brand Rare Beauty.
She added that she’s not interested in having a big wedding cake, though she’s open to a small one in order to observe tradition, so she and Blanco can “freeze” it.
