Country Superstar Luke Combs Just Dropped the Most Unexpected Album Tease Yet originally appeared on Parade.
Country superstar Luke Combs just shared an idea for a follow-up album to his 2024 hit LP Fathers & Sons, and it may be his wildest yet.
During a recent interview on the podcast Katie & Company, Combs revealed that he has already recorded more than 30 songs for his new album. But he’s having trouble narrowing them down, and that’s where his loyal fans can come in.
Combs took to Twitter to share an unusual way to lessen the selection. He’s considering asking fans for their help.
“Seriously considering ‘Crowd Sourcing’ my next record,” Combs penned on Aug. 4, 2025. “Like just put up a bunch of demos and work tapes to see what y’all like best.”

Fans were quick to jump on board with Combs’ idea. They shared their remarks in the post’s comments section.
“Yes! Why is this not done more often?” asked one follower. A second wrote, “You know I’ll shoot straight. Your time and effort during your career need to be allocated well. You have by FAR more God-given talent than anyone ever IMO.”
A third fan wondered, “How do we get access to this? Think it would kill.” Finally a fourth penned, “I just want to hear more music from you so I’d be happy with anything.”
The country superstar could very well release a supersized album, but admitted that he didn’t “love” that idea. His idea is to release a carefully curated selection of songs that are cohesive to the record’s theme.
“I don’t know that there’s any plans to do, like, the big album thing. I just don’t know if I love that idea, you know,” he said on Katie & Company. “There’s nothing against it, I mean, obviously it works really well, but I just don’t.”
