Amanda Shires, Brittney Spencer, Cecilia Castleman, Haven Madison, M’Lynn and Queen Anne will headline the second installment of its celebration of female voices and genre diversity with a free showcase in Nashville on Wednesday, August 27, beginning at 6 p.m. The concert is presented by the organizations She Is the Music, FEMco and Anzie Blue and will take place at the Anzie Blue venue; admission is free but tickets are required and are available at anzieblue.com. The event will also be livestreamed on Volume.com.
Hosted by FEMco’s Leslie Fram and Anzie Blue’s Marcie Allen, each artist will engage in a brief discussion and perform one song, followed by a post-show mixer. Last month’s event featured artists Maggie Rose, Jillian Jacqueline, Stella Prince, Mary Marguerite, Summer Joy and Sinclair. The next sponsored showcase is scheduled for Wednesday, October 1 at Anzie Blue, line-up to be announced
She Is the Music is a nonprofit organization founded by Alicia Keys, Jody Gerson, Ann Mincieli and Sam Kirby Yoh to increase the number of women working in music – songwriters, engineers, producers, artists and industry professionals. Programs include global all-women songwriting sessions, mentorship and education programs, and the largest industry database of women creators and executives.
FEMco (Fram Entertainment & Music) was created by by music executive Leslie Fram as a multi-faceted consulting collective specializing in artist career development, talent services and connection to Nashville’s entertainment community. FEMco is dedicated to creating opportunities for female artists to increase their visibility and reach via events, sponsorships and more.
Anzie Blue is a 250-capacity venue located in Nashville’s Hillsboro Village at 2111 Belcourt Ave. co-owned by Marcie Allen and Derek Van Mol.
