’90s Music Legend Pam Tillis Pays Tribute to ‘One of the Very Coolest Women in Country’ originally appeared on Parade.
Country singer Pam Tilliswas one of the most defining artists of the 1990s, with unforgettable hits including “Maybe It Was Memphis,” “Cleopatra, Queen of Denial,” “Land of the Living,” and “Shake the Sugar Tree.” She has such a distinct sound that never goes out of style, and she’s still captivating crowds in 2025.
Tillis is also active on social media, and on August 5, she posted a special tribute to fellow ’90s country queen, Terri Clark, in honor of her birthday.
She shared a few photos of the two of them together, captioned, with, “To one of THE very coolest women in country, my fellow Leo, sometimes lead player when I’ve been merrily on the road with… carnivorous chef extraordinaire, AND last but not least, someone who makes snorting when she laughs the best landing a joke could ever hope for, my friend @terriclarkmusic … Happy Birthday!!!!”

Clark replied to the sweet birthday wish with, “Thanks my friend. I appreciate you very much. And your jokes are always “snort” worthy…”
It’s clear that the two of them share a special friendship, and fans were so delighted to see Tilils give Clark such a sweet shout out.
One person said, “Two of my all-time favorites,” and another added, “Two country music powerhouses!”

Another fan had a great suggestion, asking, “Can you all tour together?? Please?!” Now THAT would be a show to remember!
Pam Tillis and Terri Clark Are Both Touring
Tillis’ next concert is on August 9 in Sturgis, South Dakota, but she has plenty more dates scheduled into January.
Clark also has a fall tour starting in September with dates until February, so don’t miss the chance to see one or both of these incredible legends in person!
As for whether or not the two of them will ever consider touring together? Fingers crossed!
