‘Chicago Med’ Star Demanding Crossover With ‘Law & Order’ Has Fans Going Crazy originally appeared on Parade.
The Dick Wolf TV universe is no stranger to crossovers, but typically, they stick to their own city — the Law & Order shows cross over with each other in New York, and the Chicago shows cross over with each other in, well, Chicago.
But when Chicago Med star Steven Weber ran into Law & Order star Tony Goldwyn and demanded a crossover, fans lost it.
“Bumped into the great @tonygoldwyn WE NEED A LAW & ORDER/CHICAGO MED CROSSOVER!!!!!” wrote Weber on an Instagram photo of the two TV greats posing together at an event.

Weber also added a poll (which only shows up on the mobile version of the post), and 98 percent of fans voted “yes” to the crossover.

Even famous fans were excited. Legendary singer and actress Betty Buckley wrote in the comments, “I’d like to see that!! 😍👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️,” to which a fan replied, “Only if you guest star! Please…”
Annabeth Gish, who appeared with Goldwyn on Scandal and also the film Nixon and starred alongside Weber in the film Desperation, left two heart emojis on the post.
Their fans were over the moon, with one even floating the plotline for said crossover: “Medical malpractice episode!! ?!”
“Absolutely need a crossover!” wrote another fan.

A third fan thought Goldwyn and Weber bear enough resemblance to one another that they could play brothers (or cousins) on a Wings revival, writing, “If there’s ever a Wings revival, Tony could totally play a long-lost Hackett brother! Or at least a cousin!”
“Two of my biggest celebrity crushes.😍😍,” added a fourth fan, and a fifth wrote, “That would be really cool 😎.”
Weber has starred on Chicago Med as Dr. Dean Archer since season 6, while Goldwyn joined the cast of Law & Order in season 23 as District Attorney Nicholas Baxter.
While both Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. have crossed over with Law & Order: SVU (four times, actually), Chicago Med has not crossed over with the Law & Order universe, nor has the OG Law & Order ever crossed over with the Chicago-verse.
