During a Monday, Aug. 4, appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Cooper Koch opened up about having the opportunity to interact with famous celebrities before he started acting
He recalled meeting Kim and Khloé Kardashian, Jennifer Aniston and others as a preteen through his fitness trainer mom, Kathy Kaehler
“I met Jennifer Aniston at a party somewhere. And I was like, ‘Oh, I really gotta tell her about my mom.’ And she was like, ‘That’s your mom!?’ Like, ‘Oh my god! And how’s your dad?’ ” he recalled
Cooper Koch met a multitude of celebrities after his Emmy-nominated performance as Erik Menendez in Netflix’s hit series Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story. However, it turns out that he was actually reintroducing himself to some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
During a Monday, Aug. 4, appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the 29-year-old actor explained that he had already met the likes of Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Aniston when he was a preteen.
That’s all thanks to his mom, celebrity trainer Kathy Kaehler.
Speaking to Seth Meyers, Koch confirmed that he had “at least crossed paths” with Kardashian years before she helped him meet Erik and Lyle Menendez.
“When I was a child,” he explained. “My mom actually … she used to be a celebrity fitness trainer, and she trained them when I was a kid. When I was, like, 11, 12 years old.”
He noted that his mom would sometimes even train stars at the gym in their garage.
“I’d sometimes wake up and be going to school,” he recalled, adding, “Then I’d just walk into the garage and then, like, Khloé [Kardashian] or Kim or whoever would be in there and be like, ‘Ah. Ok, cool.’ “

The Kardashian sisters weren’t his mom’s only famous clients.
“She had a lot,” Koch said, listing the likes of Julia Roberts, Michelle Pfeiffer and “all the Friends girls.”
Notably, he recalled reintroducing himself to Aniston, who remembered the connection immediately.
“I met Jennifer Aniston at a party somewhere. And I was like, ‘Oh, I really gotta tell her about my mom.’ And she was like, ‘That’s your mom!?’ Like, ‘Oh my god! And how’s your dad?’ ” he shared.
While he was interacting with some very famous faces, Koch told Meyers that he didn’t brag about it at school, saying, “I’m not a kiss and tell.”
However, he added, “I do brag about Kim Kardashian taking me to meet Erik and Lyle Menendez, though.”

“She had seen the show. I guess Ryan [Murphy] gave her an early sneak peek, and she loved it and started to get very fascinated with the story,” he said. “And then I got a call from my stylist who knows her, and then, all of a sudden, I’m on FaceTime with her. And she’s like, ‘Do you want to go down there and meet them?’ And then it happened that weekend.”
Koch has developed a lasting bond with the Menendez brothers after meeting them. They’re so close, in fact, that Lyle reached out after the actor was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Actor in a Limited Series or Movie.
“He called to send his congrats and was very, very sweet,” he said during a July episode of Entertainment Weekly’s podcast, The Awardist.
The actor added, “He was jealous that I was at Wimbledon this weekend,” saying, “He was just so, so sweet … and they’re doing really well.”
