Billy Ray Cyrus reveals the one thing he misses as he looks back on Hannah Montana.
The country star starred in the hit Disney show along with his daughter, Miley Cyrus, who played the titular character.
First aired in March 2006, the show ran for four seasons before bidding farewell in January 2011.
With nearly 20 years since the first episode aired, the “Achy Breaky Heart” hitmaker treated his followers to a trip down memory lane as he reminisced about the music, the moments and the hairstyle that made his character iconic.
In an Instagram post shared on Thursday, the 63-year-old singer posted a throwback video of himself as the widowed, laid-back single dad Robby Stewart, playing guitar while singing “I Want My Mullet Back” with teen idol Hannah Montana, who also sported a mullet haircut.
“I Want My Mullet Back!!!! Can’t believe it’s almost been 20 years since Hannah Montana. Feels like yesterday we were jammin’ out to this one!!!” he wrote, sending major nostalgia across social media.
In the comment section, fans flooded the post with heartwarming messages for both the country singer and Miley Cyrus.
“Loved this father-daughter duo so much,” one wrote.
“This show was my childhood. I miss it so much. Good memories. I still watched it every once in a while!” a commenter said.
“Best duo on the show,” a follower noted.

Besides the father of six, the “Party in the U.S.A” songstress also spoke about the show’s upcoming 20th anniversary.
“I want to design something really, really special for it because it really was the beginning of all of this,” the 32-year-old singer said, as reported by USA Today, adding, “Without Hannah, there wouldn’t really be this me.
At the height of the show, not only did it launch Miley Cyrus to fame, but it also sparked the Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour, which grossed over $65 million.
