Jason Marsden is showing love to Step by Step fans.
The actor, 50, shared love for the “strong” fandom in an Instagram post on Wednesday, July 30, alongside some photos of fan mail he continues to get that praises his role as Rich Halke in the sitcom’s final two seasons.
Rich came on the show as best friend to J.T. (Brandon Call) but later fell for Dana, played by Staci Keanan.
“Here’s some mail from Germany and France. Someone really hot for signed Rich/Dana portraits. Perhaps these will be sent to Stacy next. Or shoot – I coulda saved them some postage by forwarding myself??! It’s ok, best not establish myself as an autograph runner. 😎,” he joked.

Marsden then said that despite coming into the cast later in the show, his costars treated him “like I had been there since the beginning.”
“The Rich and Dana photos were from our season 7 pre-season network photo shoot. Our characters had already been established as an ‘item’ and they leaned into it for promo purposes. There was even a discussion of a Rich/Dana spin off!!” he reveals, adding, “A short discussion apparently. lol. 😂”
Marsden advised fans of the sitcom — a ’90s take on The Brady Bunch, starring Suzanne Somers and Patrick Duffy as “second time around” newlyweds blending a family of six kids — to listen to Keanan and Christine Lakin on their podcast Keanan and Lakin Give You Déjà Vu.
A fan commented, celebrating what a great pairing Rich and Dana are, writing, “Rich and Dana [are] one of my favorite TV couples. Y’all are my Ross and Rachel. I remember watching the moment when y’all first became a couple. I did notice some on-screen chemistry when you played Doug. Dana said something and you laughed. What was your favorite Dana and Rich moment?”
The actor responded, revealing his favorite moment was, “Singing ‘I Got You Babe’ to Dana.”
