The influencer, 35, is pregnant and expecting her third baby with her husband, Emeka Ihedigbo, 47, in February. The couple, who is already parents to daughters Zuri, 2, and Zion, 4, tells PEOPLE about why all their friends were “shocked” that Nika is pregnant again.

The expectant mom of two thought she might be pregnant when she realized her pants felt a little tighter during a workout, and she clocked that she was more tired than normal.
“I couldn’t even finish my routine. I ended up going home and taking a long nap, which is so unlike me,” she says. “It reminded me of the early days of my second pregnancy, when extreme fatigue was my first clue. That week, I decided to take a test…and it was positive!”

So far, Nika says that this pregnancy has been the hardest to navigate but she’s trying to give herself a lot of grace throughout the journey.
“This has definitely been my toughest pregnancy, symptom-wise,” Nika explains. “I’ve dealt with a lot of nausea and exhaustion, and even some prenatal depression. Thankfully, I have an amazing doctor who helped me find a safe treatment plan that’s gotten me back to a more stable, healthy place.”

“I’m trying to give myself lots of grace and remind myself [that] my body is doing something incredibly hard and beautiful. My doctor said growing a baby uses the same energy as running a marathon, and I feel that.”
Nika and her husband plan to find out the sex of their baby soon, and have already started talking about baby names.

“I named our first two babies, so this time it’s my husband’s turn!” she says. “He already has a name picked for a boy, but is still thinking on a girl name.”
As she gets ready to embark on this next chapter, Nika says she’s looking forward to adding another little one into their family.
“I feel a mix of nerves and deep hope. I really believe if God allowed this miracle to happen, then it’s part of something bigger than I can understand right now,” she says. “I look at my daughters every day and can’t imagine life without them, so the idea of adding one more beautiful soul to our family feels sacred.”
“I just want to raise kind, strong, loving humans and I’m honored to get to do it all over again.”
