Ready to get ahead on the biggest fall 2025 hair trends? Look to the runways: This season, many designers like Anna Sui and Conner Ives embraced maximum volume; others, like Christopher John Rogers and Tory Burch, opted for high shine and slicked-back looks instead.

There were many meticulously crafted styles, but the ease and simplicity seen on runways at Dior and Prada were also beauty throughlines this season. Here, we’ve rounded up some of the top beauty looks from the runways that are equal parts elevated and attainable. Keep scrolling for some of the best fall 2025 hair trends we started bookmarking from backstage, plus the key products stylists used on models before they hit the catwalk.

Side-Parted Bobs

Just like the rest of the beauty looks seen on Gucci’s catwalk, hairstyling was kept simple and fresh with several side-parted bobs tucked gracefully behind models’ ears.

Side-Parted Bobs

Along with crisp buns and squared-off bangs, models at Christopher John Rogers’s Fall/Winter 2025 show wore sleek side-parts that ranged from bobs to chest-length styles. “The inspiration is definitely a strong woman who knows what she wants,” lead stylist Sonny Molina for Bumble and Bumble tells Bazaar. “She’s making bold choices with her hair, but she’s also really refined and polished. Aside from that, me, Chris, and the team mesh well, so we were having lots of fun experimenting. There’s lots of color-blocking with different shapes and colors, so I think the hair reflects the garments in a different type of way.”

Side-Parted Bobs

At Moschino this season, off-center bobs dotted the catwalk alongside playful waves and structured faux hawks. Halos of undone frizz kept the chin-grazing styles from looking too severe.

A series of sleek bobs, easy waves, and short haircuts appeared on the runway at Calvin Klein, pairing perfectly with the show’s overall tailored aesthetic.

Sectioning Comb

An absolute must-have for sectioning off the perfect side part? A tail comb, which allows you to create a clean part with the pointy end, then groom with the comb side (just like the pros).

Retro Volume

The saying “Business in the front, party in the back” didn’t apply to the hair stylings at Richard Quinn this season, as models wore robust, voluminous updos that could be appreciated from every angle.

We’re still swooning over the bouncy, pin-up-esque hair looks seen on Connor Ives’s runway during London Fashion Week. Models wearing shorter cuts and stylish ‘fros were also given a volume boost this season.

Retro Volume

The saying “The higher the hair, the closer to heaven” applied to the fun, voluminous looks at Christian Cowan’s Fall/Winter 2025 show. Models wore teased and stacked wigs with flipped ends for playful, retro-inspired beauty on the catwalk.

At Anna Sui, full, elevated bangs and bouncy curls were the beauty styles that ruled the Fall/Winter 2025 runway. Celebrity hairstylist and R+Co Bleu founder Garren and team created pinup-inspired looks to complement the designer’s Madcap Heiress–themed collection. “Everybody has been wearing their hair natural and wavy for so long. We wanted to change the mood, because in this collection, there are beautiful knits and textures, so we wanted smoother hair,” Garren said in a statement about the styles. “We decided to set the hair in a polished look with a nod to Bettie Page and Dita Von Teese. That’s the yin and yang—very chic clothes with pinup-girl hair!”

Bold bouffants are back! Just ask the team of hairstylists this season at the Blonds, led by Kien Hoang, Oribe’s principal artist of global design. As this season’s collection is based on a futuristic take on classic showgirls, Hoang and team set the stage with 1950s-style rolled bangs and standout hair embellishments.

At Luar, the updo received a modern, carefree twist thanks to vintage-inspired styling known as the Fiery Fan, led by celebrity hairstylist Jawara for Tresemmé. “For Luar’s show, I was inspired by the women of the ’80s, using volume to showcase confidence,” he says. “The sleek bun emulates professionalism, while the fanned sides add a fiery flare. This look aims to add spice to the ordinary, mixing modern sleek with heavy volume.”

Soft, face-framing pieces with sleek side parts were seen on models walking Dior’s Paris Fashion Week show this season. Hair was loosely tied and gathered low at the nape into a cadagon, with a few free strands escaping.

Easy Does It

“The hair is intended to look two days old, which is always a little complicated. It looks easy, but it’s not,” celebrity stylist Frank Rizzieri explains of Kallmeyer’s seemingly simple hair looks. The team crafted extremely low ponytails that were tied with a single ribbon and face-framing tendrils.

brilliant™ Universal Styling Cream

At Kallmeyer, Rizzieri and team used Aveda’s Universal Styling Cream, “Which is very light and just absorbs into the hair and doesn’t make it sticky or greasy looking,” says the pro.

Soft yet defined natural curl texture was on full display on Michael Kors’s Fall/Winter 2025 runway. The look was a perfect complement to the rest of the show’s beauty looks, which also included barely there makeup.

Hair was a seamless extension of the outfits on Coach’s catwalk this season. Models wore casually parted styles with sunglasses over the top and effortlessly tucked into belted jacket collars.

Many of the hair looks at Diotima’s Fall/Winter 2025 presentation were inspired by a photograph of artist Dawoud Bey’s family matriarch styling hers with rollers in the kitchen. This no-frills, fanned-out updo from the show provided a more modern alternative, crafted by Oribe session stylist Joey George and team.

At Sandy Liang, models walked the catwalk in pared-back and slightly undone updos with a hint of shine. “The inspiration behind the look today is creating a really hot hair look, that is literally hot but also sexy-hot,” explained hairstylist Evanie Frausto. “When creating the looks for the show, we envisioned a New York girl who just got off work, dressed head-to-toe in layers and a little sweaty, but looking incredible and fresh.”

Superfruit Star Lightweight Hair Styling Oil

Frausto used this styling oil “to give that lived-in, little bit of cool look” to the models’ hair.

Glossy, pin-straight hair was a recurring runway theme at DSquared2, which still made a beauty impact when peeking out under a series of stacked and oversized hats.

Multi-Use Flat Iron – 1 Inch Ceramic Hair Straightener

Of course, the main thing you need for slick-straight hair is…a straightening iron. This one, from Jen Atkin’s Mane collection, has ceramic plates for a frizz-free finish and heats to 450 degrees F.

Center-parted slicked-back buns and ponytails, like this version from Lapointe’s catwalk, are beauty styles that never get old—on the runway or otherwise.

Another of our favorite sleek and centered hair looks of the season, this pared-back style from Tory Burch underlines the idea that less is actually more.

Only Prada’s catwalk can make bedhead look elevated: Along with intentionally messy straighter styles, models at Prada wore tousled waves on waves next to the house’s Fall/Winter 2025 selects.

Polished updos and shoulder-sweeping hair featured well-placed waves at Sergio Hudson. The side-parted hair look was in line with the vintage trend of the season, thanks to designs crafted by celebrity stylist Tamika Gibson.

We’re still seasick (in a good way) from the abundance of wavy chignons and swirly tendril accents styled by Lacy Redway and team for Tresemmé at Christian Siriano.

Redway saturated the hair with this gel and folded it into ribbon-like structures. Then, she clipped the hair and applied Tresemmé Freeze Hold Hairspray to lock the pieces into place.

The flowing waves seen at Prabal Gurung were known backstage as textured tresses. “This look is all about enhancing your hair’s natural texture, as if you were waking up in the morning from a fun night out,” lead stylist Lacy Redway says of the carefree runway style.
