Charli XCX may have been all dressed in white just a week ago, but her usual uniform consists mostly of black—which she turned to again as she flew into London’s Heathrow Airport on Friday.
The stars have really been flexing their airport style as of late, be it with statement-making animal print sets or winking musical merch, and Charli’s seems to be all about sleek coordination, with a few subtle touches of luxury.
The “Apple” singer took to the skies in a black, cap-sleeve top with a boat neckline, which she paired with matching capris that were belted with a chunky leather sash featuring silver hardware.
These bottoms are one of many once-beloved pieces from the early aughts that have made a triumphant comeback, and Charli combined several of them in a single look.
Another was the Balenciaga Le City bag, which the singer slung across her shoulder, giving it a personal touch by tying a lavender McQueen skull scarf around it (the only pop of color in the entire outfit, and yet another piece of fashion history). Charli will always pull out a throwback—this is the woman who sang about Von Dutch, after all.

To complete her look, Charli popped on a pair of Port Tanger sunglasses, as well as some Maison Margiela Tabi ballet flats—because when you’re trying to get through security with ease, what’s a more fabulous (and comfortable) choice? She couldn’t forget her metallic silver luggage from Rimowa, either.

Charli is currently in post-wedding bliss after tying the knot with her partner, the 1975 member George Daniel, at an intimate town hall ceremony on July 19. For her big day, Charli chose a silky, white off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood gown with ruched fabric along the waist. But like some of our favorite fashion icons, it’s hard to keep her out of monochrome black for too long.
