‘Love Island USA’s’ JaNa Craig Breaks Silence on Kenny Rodriguez Split: ‘Terrible, Disgusting, and Disappointing’ originally appeared on Parade.
JaNa Craig is speaking out for the first time since breaking up with Kenny Rodriguez after the couple met on season 6 of Love Island USA.
Fans speculated over the weekend that something was terribly wrong as the couple was spotted together at a party hosted by social media influencer David Dobrik just one day before the breakup news was reported by TMZ.
Eagle-eyed fans also noticed that many of the couple’s Love Island castmates and host Ariana Madix quickly unfollowed Rodriguez after news of their split broke.
On Instagram Stories posted Tuesday, July 29, Craig seemingly confirmed that Rodriguez did in fact do something unforgivable.
“Hi my loves. Thank you for all your love & support. It means the world to me. As you know, Kenny and I no longer together,” Craig wrote. “Please know that I have seen all the breakup theories and none have matched up to how terrible, disgusting and disappointing it truly is. Discovering that someone you loved isn’t who you thought they were and that the relationship you thought you were building hasn’t been genuine since day one has been truly devastating.”
“Thank you for respecting my privacy and please know as a child of God, I will always be okay.” she concluded the post.

Rodgriuez posted an Instagram Story of his own, writing, “The past few days have been incredibly difficult. I’ve been sitting quietly with a lot of emotions and doing my best to process everything privately.”
“Breakups are never easy, especially in the public eye. Sometimes, despite how deeply you care for someone, you come to the hard truth that the relationship was not something that could last long term,” he continued. “I’ll always be grateful for the time we shared and the memories we created. I release this chapter with no ill will, only a hope that JaNa’s path forward brings her nothing but happiness.”
Craig replied to that statement, writing via Instagram Story, “Stfu you manipulative liar. You not taking accountability and telling people the type of person you really are is insane to me!! My first statement was me being nice. Do not piss me off.”
Craig and Rodriguez met on season 6 of Love Island USA last summer and recently celebrated their one-year anniversary. The highs and lows of their relationship were documented for Peacock’s Love Island: Beyond the Villa, which premiered on Sunday, July 13. It is unknown currently if their breakup will be covered for the series.
