A bride’s father has gone viral for his dramatic way of expressing his desire to leave her wedding and go home.
Justice and Willie Jackson, both 28, got married on Saturday, July 19, at The Modern Brick in Butler, Missouri. At the end of the night, the bride’s mother, Courtney Anderson, was chatting outside with a portion of the couple’s 160 wedding guests. Meanwhile, the bride’s father, Chad Anderson, was lying inside on the floor because his social battery had ran out. He desperately looked outside at his wife through the glass doors, which he pressed one hand and his head against.
“The majority of our guests had left and after a very long, emotional day my dad was ready to leave,” Justice tells PEOPLE. “Mom was a little social butterfly talking to the remaining guests and my dad is always pulling these shenanigans! It’s extra funny to our family because usually the roles are reversed and my mom can barely drag my dad away from socializing with everyone, everywhere they go!”
As Justice sat across from her parents, both 50, on the outdoor patio, her friend, Bailie Templeton, captured the pair’s juxtaposing reactions on video and sent it to the bride the next morning. Justice later posted the funny clip on TikTok, writing in an onscreen text overlay: “When your mom is being a little social butterfly but your dad’s ready to leave.”
The video amassed nearly 15 million views and 4 million likes in less than a week.
“We had no idea it would blow up as much as it had!” Justice says.
“Please take him home he’s TIRED 😭,” the top comment with more than 400,000 likes reads.
“Pls show him this anytime he claims you’re being dramatic,” one TikTok user joked, with another writing, “The puppy dog eyes and all 🥹😂.”
“please put like ASPCA commercial or something over this😭😭,” someone else teased.
