For the first time ever, Bachelor in Paradise includes former contestants from The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and the franchise’s Golden Bachelor and Golden Bachelorette spin-off series.
The tenth season of ABC’s beloved reality dating show finally returned to our screens on July 7. Showrunner Scott Teti opened up about expanding the cast of Bachelor in Paradise to include our favorite Golden contestantsduring an interview with Variety. “The Goldens came in more ready to party and with more youthful energy than the younger cast,” he told the outlet. “When they do come in, it almost feels like the injection of youth that they bring. There are always elements of drama and serious romance and things like that, and that carries through with the Goldens too, but I think they brought a lot of the levity.”
Besides throwing the Goldens into the mix, season 10 also got a makeover, complete with a brand-new location, a different format, and a fresh editing style.
